The face behind Caresse Baby Spa

Mandy Gast was born in Eindhoven in 1990 and has been the proud owner of Caresse Baby Spa since December 12, 2020. At Mandy's birth, her parents gave her the name "Caresse," which means "caress." So, she didn't have to think long about the name of the baby spa, because caress is exactly what a baby spa is all about: quality time with your baby!

From the age of 15, Mandy has always been actively engaged in making others happy and finding it important to take the burden off people and help them have a good time. For example, during her pre-university education (HAVO) studies, she was chairwoman of the student council and mentored first-year students in their first year of secondary school. Mandy also helped make the school parties and prom possible.

After completing her pre-university education (HAVO), she decided to pursue a degree in Hotel and Event Management, where she worked for over 10 years. When this industry collapsed due to COVID-19, Mandy decided to change course and focus on her other passion: the wellness industry!

The mother of her godchild talked about the limited activities available for babies and how thrilled she was to have discovered a baby spa in Antwerp (!). Mandy went along once and watched her baby enjoy moving freely in the warm water. It reminded her of her own rehabilitation after a serious car accident, after which she had to relearn how to walk using hydrotherapy. Mandy researched the baby spa concept and quickly concluded it was perfect for her.

She retrained as a baby massage instructor, became a Dunstan Baby Language trainer, earned her first aid certificate, and completed various courses and training in anatomy and physiology. Mandy is also the director/owner of Dunstan Baby Language Netherlands and actively contributes to a working group for baby hydrotherapy.

Mandy loves what she does, and it shows! Hospitality, expertise, and personal attention are paramount.
